What a fantastic way to start the week – sunshine in Auckland. There is nothing like a bit of glorious sun to start your day off on the right foot. Or left depending on who you are.
Gee, I’m chipper this morning aren’t I? No idea why but the sun and an early start might have something to do with it.
Recently Richard Koch wrote about imagination being the difference between humans and animals. Now I’m not exactly sure animals don’t imagine, dogs certainly appear to dream a lot. But one thing he wrote really appealed to me – Imagination is a mental muscle, one that needs to be used to develop it, one that can be trained and expanded, both in quality and quantity.
Take a look at today’s photo. It’s pretty easy to imagine a prehistoric West Auckland with a fantastic view like that. But what else can you imagine?
Imagination keeps you awake at night and fired up in the morning. It really does have that effect on you. However it needs to be used or like everything left to stand will waste away.
This week imagine something awesome. A holiday. A challenge. A loved one. A new car. Keep imagining it until it’s clear and vibrant. Doing so will make you feel great. Even just thinking about it will change your mood.
Try it now and have a great week.
