“Yes or no, did you ever take banned substances to enhance your cycling performance?”
“Yes or no, was one of those banned substances EPO?”
“Did you ever blood dope or use blood transfusions to enhance your cycling performance?”
“Did you ever use other banned substances like testosterone or human growth hormone?”
“Yes or no, in all seven of your Tour de France victories did you ever take banned substances or blood dope?”
Oprah could have ended the interview with Lance Armstrong right there and still had a huge win. But no, the world had to endure another two hours of, in my opinion, the rehearsed ramblings of a win at all costs sociopath.
How does this relate to you %%First Name%%?
We all like winning. We all like having money / options / freedom etc. There is a cost to having those that has to be paid. Time / money / sweat / relationships are just some of the costs.
The question is how much are you willing to pay to get what you want?
Lance Armstrong has paid a lot to win. Willingly. Although his behaviour resembles that of an addict. – Addicted to winning. – Doesn’t sound bad does it. But when you weigh up the cost Lance is paying could you do it?
Something to think about before you start every day. What am I willing to pay to kick butt today?
That question will give you some clarity and maybe even the work / life balance you want.
Have a great week.
P.S. Two things that inspired me in the last week:
