A.L. Kitselman said, “The words “I am” are potent words; be careful what you hitch them to. The thing you’re claiming has a way of reaching back and claiming you.”
I can imagine the hands of happiness reaching for me and claiming me for their own.
Much better than the hands of misery or unhappiness surely. Say “I am happy” or “I am fit and healthy” long enough, do something in that direction, and those hands will claim you soon enough.
