Austin O’Malley said, “Those who think it is permissible to tell white lies soon grow color-blind.”

I like being honest. For the most part it’s easy but sometimes people are really asking you to lie to them when they ask you something. Is it ok to lie then?

When I was younger I would lie to stop getting punished and the risk was that I would be caught out and the punishment harsher. Maybe that’s where I got some of my risk-taking attitude from. However, as I got older I realised telling the truth is like ripping off a plaster, painful for a second. Unlike a lie that can be painful for a lifetime.

Which do you prefer?
