Someone once said, “When you feel dog tired at night, it may be because you’ve growled all day long.”
How often do you come home worn out after having a bad day where your workmates or colleagues couldn’t do anything right?
Hopefully not often but if you do maybe all the growling you did ‘for their own good’ or because ‘you’re not doing it right’ took up all your energy. Energy probably better put to use on your own job.
Growling at people doesn’t work, I’ve tried, it just wears you out and belittles people. Empowering them with to do lists and clearly defined goals will get things done faster, with less effort and no growling from you. Leaving you with a heap more energy to do things you really enjoy, like dinner with your loved ones.
